Zinc oxide tapes are the tapes of choice in most athletic taping techniques.
Essentially, with these tapes zinc oxide is the adhesive used on a non elastic stiff tape. Tradionally these Trainer's tapes have been cotton, but in recent years the synthetic fabric rayon is used to create tapes with a greater tensile strength.
Recently, some manufacturers are moving to the use of acrylic adhesives on their Trainer's tapes as an alternative to zinc oxide.
Well known brands of Trainer's tapes include Mueller M Tape, Leukotape, Leukotape P, Strappal, Vivotape, Vivo S tape Vivotape P and Vivo X Tape.
The Vivo range of tapes offer a varirety of different adhesive properties and include both 100% cotton and rayon materials.
