COHESIVE BANDAGES
This group of bandages include the brand names COBAN, MEDI-WRIP, POWERFLEX, VIVORIP and many others.
Essentially they are a blend of cotton and rubber fabric, woven in a way which makes them adhere to themselves but not the skin.
They are widely used in taping and strapping in sport when the practitioner wants to apply quick elastic compression with a tearable tape.
They don't have the tensile strength of elastic adhesive bandages, but are useful for a wide range of taping techniques, and are very handy for the quick application of compression |
